Star Trek: Bridge Crew a VR Game from Ubisoft

GREETINGS TO ALL FROM MALICE-CORP.COM.  Want to share with you the trailer and my first impressions of an upcoming game from Ubisoft, Star Trek: Bridge Crew.  This is one of the first VR Games that really peeks my interest.  Yeah thas right I said VR as in Virtual Reality.  This game is according to Ubisoft created from the ground up to be a Virtual reality experince of being a member of a Star Trek Bridge Crew.  ST: BC is slated for release on 30 May 2017, current the report release platforms will be the Oculus Rift, Play Station VR, and HTC Vive.

Announced Features:

Star Trek: Bridge Crew is designed to be an interactive multi-player or solo experience, with up to 4 players working together as a team to accomplish their goals of takeing on the challenge of both prescripted story line missions or a procedural based mission generator.  Now my self I have always found that procedural based content can be very dangerous for a game.  Either it is to repetitive or just done so poorly that it ruins a great title.  We will have to wait and see how this plays out.

The game boasts real time full body tracking and lip syncing to provide an immersive experience as you take on of four bridge stations, Captain, Tactical, Helm, or Engineering.  I myself am most interested in the Engineering station.  Is that the true nerd in me coming through or just my love of fixing stuff?  Maybe it is both!

Final Impressions:

So now I am going to have to break down maybe and buy myself a PS4 VR system or Oculus Rift.  As I have stated before I am mostly a PC Gamer, but this title has me excited to go ‘ Where no man has gone before’.

Being a Trekkie, and here recently a VR junkie , this is a lethal combination for me. I do not own PSVR but I do have access to one , and even though I know the occulus can offer more, at this point the ps4 route is more cost efficient. At this point I have only played Until Dawn: Rush of blood and EVE – and a few demos here and there. But I am very anxious to get my hands on this. However I was also hopeful for the Kelvin universe video game ( supported 3D!) and it ended up being a pile of barely playable rubbish. I have high hopes, and look forward to a full review when you finally get it sir.
