Pi Day – March 14th, the day of Nerdology

GREETINGS TO ALL FROM MALICE-CORP.COM.  My fellow NERDS today is our day! It is Pi Day, a holiday that celebrates all things math.

If you are looking to update your Nerdology Ph.D here is your chance to add some higher math puns to your portfolio.  You can head on over to Piday.org and learn the history of Pi. This little symbol has helped make huge breakthroughs in mathematics, science, engineering, and even art. What do you think this breakthrough in Mathematics has done for you? We’d like to hear about in the comments below.

We can all thank Robert Shaw, a physicist who in 1988 started some of the earliest Pi Day Celebrations. Then Congress picked up the charge for this day of true nerd celebration with non-binding resolution HRES 224, which legally granted the observance of Pi Day as a national holiday in 2009. Too bad we still all have to work!  No rest for the grey matter of all my fellow Nerds out there.

Take a moment today to reflect on your early Nerd brethren and show them some love.  Maybe grab yourself a shirt so you can be ready to celebrate next year in true Nerd style!  The one I picked out is a double dip on the Nerd scale.  A Pi Day shirt with a Star Wars reference!  What more could you ask for?!?
