Netflix Original Iron Fist; first impressions and review

GREETINGS TO ALL FROM MALICE-CORP.COM.  Hey Guys, I watched the first 3 episodes of Iron Fist on Netflix. I want to tell you about how this show has me feeling “mahhhhuhhh”.

Iron Fist Synopsis:

The show is yet again another lost rich kid returning from the supposed dead after his family was lost in a tragic accident.  The way they handle this in the show just seems to leave me hanging though.  It doesn’t feel as complete or plausible as other shows with similar tropes.  Well Danny seems cool but he just doesn’t feel intense to me.  This is just not as powerful to me as Netflix’s Daredevil.

How I am feeling after three episodes:

I wanted so much more, I am waiting and waiting for it to get better but so far it is really slow and plodding.  We will just see, other shows have started out slow and just exploded in your face with an amazing story line and action.  Maybe this show will be a late bloomer and I will later this week be singing its praises but I fear maybe not.

True to the source material:

I don’t know on this one.  I wasn’t a fan of the original comics.  To be honest I don’t think I ever read even one of the original comics. Maybe one of our Ph.D’s in Comic Nerdology like Mest, A-a-ron, or Igor will regale us with tales of the derring-do of Danny and his glowing fist.

So please take the time to comment below if you have some great Iron Fist knowledge or if you completely disagree with me and think this is a great show.  Please, lets keep the spoilers under wraps for a few days until everyone gets a chance to watch it!

After binge watching the entire season in 3 days i will say I understand where you are coming from with the slow plodding feeling of the show. It does get better towards the last 4-5 episodes and the character depth of particularly Ward and Daughter of the Dragon is truly worth watching.
