The Malice-Corp team started off the iZombie season 3 finale discussion last week as they dove into the first part of a two episode finale. So, this article covers both videos as the CW Network wraps up its third season of iZombie. The discussion starts with Looking for Mr. Goodbrain, Part 1 and concludes with last night’s video that covered part 2. Finally, this article will end with speculations for season 4 and some quotes from showrunner Rob Thomas. Give our videos a watch and a like, maybe even a comment. Overall Thoughts on iZombie
Overall, iZombie has been an amazing show. While it does not follow the Vertigo comics completely, this show has brought us a fresh take on the zombie genre. I love that it is really a crime show mixed with some CSI that is mixed with ZOMBIES! The character development throughout the first three seasons has been fantastic and we have really grown with these characters. The writers have done a great job of balancing personal drama with the big picture drama which gives the viewer a chance to really connect to the characters. This creates a genuine care for what happens on the show, even to semi-villain characters like Blaine.
If you have not watched iZombie or you started then stopped, I highly recommend giving it a shot. You can stream the first two seasons on Netflix and then catch up on Season 3 once it is available. It has quickly become one of my favorite shows on television right now. The third season ended with discovery day which will open up so many new storylines for season 4. We still have some unresolved questions that will have to wait until season 4 to be resolved. Mainly, did the vaccine work or will Ravi become a zombie? Who stole the cures and where are they? Where in the world is Mr. Boss? If you have any thoughts on these questions, drop us a comment below.
Season 4 Possible Spoilers
Rob Thomas was interviewed in an Entertainment Weekly article regarding the iZombie season 3 finale and what we can expect in season 4. You can read the entire article on their website, but here are a few highlights.
Regarding what Seattle is going to look like in season 4 and how it will fit within the United States after Discovery Day has now occurred.
It’s like zombies and humans living together in West Berlin in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Because, in the three months between the end of season 3 and season 4 begins, the U.S. government is going to wall off Seattle so it’s going to have that Berlin feeling. It sort of turns Seattle into this independent quasi-nuclear power: If zombies go flooding out of Seattle, they have the power to end the world, essentially.
Rob Thomas continues with some insights into the possible partnership between Fillmore Graves and the US government.
Both Fillmore-Graves and the U.S. government would be working in conjunction to keep all zombies in Seattle. It’s in everyone’s best interest. There’s a mutually assured destruction there. And there’s going to be a No Man’s Land.
Finally, here’s a tidbit for all you shippers out there regarding the relationship between Major and Liv. Here is some of what we can expect.
I never want to say that there’s no hope for them because I think that they would do anything for each other at any time. But they are on opposite sides of a political divide as this season moves forward, and there are going to be some political wedge issues that are forcing them apart over the course of the season.
